Our trip to Temple Square

On December 4th we took a trip down south. We had the day off because Austin had a Dr. appointment and we decided to make the day of it. Jeremy's mom came with us, we stopped in Layton on the way down to do some Christmas shopping. Kathy had never been to the Conference Center so we took a tour. The auditorium was decorated for the Christmas Devotional, it was so cool because the light were always changing. I love the beautiful tree in the lobby. We also got to see the original painting of the picture that is on this months Ensign. Temple Square was beautiful and the weather was great. Temple Square is one of my favorite places in the entire world, but it is even better as Christmas time. There was such a wonderful feeling.

We even got to see a Santa pla
ying the bagpipes.
I loved the whole day, but I am not sure that Austin was as impressed as we were. We stopped in Layton again on the way home and ate at Outback Steakhouse where Austin passed out from our long day, and maybe to 4 shots he got in his leg that morning.

mY bAbY iS 4!

Aussie turned four on Friday! We never go shopping on black Friday, we took Austin to a movie instead. This may have been just as bad. I wanted to get a picture of him at the theater, but because of the lack of parking and long lines, lights were already out by the time we got to our seats. He had a lot of fun. we took him to see "Planet 51", it was really cute. then we took him shopping with the money he got from Grandpa and Grandma Kartchner. Not surprising he picked more toys from "Cars". Then we bought him a pizza for dinner.

The Birthday Boy!
Austin Has been slightly obsessed with Transformers.
Here his a picture of his Optimus Prime th
at he got from Mom and Dad.
We didn't have his birthday party until the next day. He wanted a Tranformers birthday. Here is his cake. Due to technical difficutiesit did not turn out exactly as planned, I never clammed to be a cake decorator, but he was happy with it.

Jason and Melissa gave him this cute helmet and steering wheel.
He has had fun pretending to
be a race car driver.Jared and Sarah gave him this remote control Backhoe.
My boy loves tractors.

Grandpa and Grandma Peterson gave him this Nerf gun.
It is a little loud. I think we are going to end up with 2 of them,
because Jeremy had just as much
fun with it as Austin did.

They also gave him these cute Optimus Prime pajamas.
Don't worry Mom, they fit perfect.

It was a pretty good party but the birthday boy was acting a bit wild all night.
Can't miss out on a chance to post an embarrassing photo of Jeremy.
He brings this on himself.
Here is a cute picture of Sarah and Jared that I told her I would post.
Glad to see you found your husband (at least for the day)

Side note
s
I never seem to get pictures of Thanksgiving. Too busy eating I guess. Went to Jeremy's Grandparents house and had a wonderful meal. I made all of the pies, they seemed to turn out well. We are having another party for him tonight with the Wyatt's so I will post picture from that later. We also set up our Christmas tree and outdoor lights on Austin's birthday. It is our Black Friday tradition. I also set up my Christmas village for the first time since Austin was a baby. I didn't know that I had collected so much stuff over time and had to expand it out a bit.
Happy Holidays!!

Austin

Austin is going to turn 4 on the 27th! I wanted to post some old pictures of him on his birthday. I decided to do it early since his birthday is in the middle of such a busy holiday weekend. The last 4 years have gone by so fast. We love this little guy! Here are some of my favorite pictures of our first year together.
Later this week I will try to post some pictures of him when he is older.

I know this is really late but here is the rest of our Halloween pictures!

Pumpkin Walk 2009
This one is really dark, sorry.

My pretty princess! Not sure why he wanted this one.

And our Pumpkin Walk tradition. Jeremy as a princess. (last year he was Ariel)

Our pumpkins

These two we carved at Jeremy's parents house.
Jeremy did the transformer for Austin,
and his brother Jason did the mickey for his daughter Brinley.

Another pumpkin Jeremy did for our house.
I wonder who chose this design.

Our favorite Little cowboy!

Finally a picture with a normal smile!
He likes to pull weird faces lately when I ask him to smile.
I thought these were cute.

This is the face he pulled when I asked him to make a sexy smile
instead of a goofball one. Makes me laugh every time!

And you've got to have an action shot!

Good news! I got a new camera this week! now I won't have to steal pictures off of Jeremy's iphone anymore. Yay! It is part of my early Christmas. My sweet husband new that I was freaking out not having a camera. Austin's Birthday is in less than 2 weeks!

Happy Fall!

Jeremy messed with my camera and got it to work for a little while. The night before Halloween it died again. I was able to get a few pics of Austin playing in the fall leaves before we raked them up. The rest I will have to steal off of Jeremy's phone.

Every time I ask Austin to smile I get this face.

Isn't he cute!

We have this fun hole in our walnut tree that goes
all the way throuh the tree. Austin is trying to put walnuts in it.
They are just a little too big.

Finally getting down to business!

Well sort of?

Austin has a unique raking style!

Happy Fall! More to come.

I really need a new camera!

Just a little update on the Wyatt gang. Don't you just love how busy summers are? Still no pictures, sorry.

On August 8th we had some family pictures taken. that is the main reason that I am doing this blog now. I have been checking the photographers blog ever now and then to see if she has posted any preview pictures. this morning there were some on there. If anyone wants to see them they are @ amandalaingphotography.blogspot.com (thanks Kristin, when I saw the cute pictures she had taken of your adorable family I showed them to my mom. She insited that Amamda take our pictures too.) She was so good with our stuborn children, and I think that they turned out really well. I am hoping that Mom either has the disc with the rest of the pictures or will have them soon. I can't wait to see the rest of them.

My summer at USU is officially over, and I am so glad. Trying to clean up after construction is never fun, but when you have to do it for 16 hrs straight it almost kills you.

The next day was the start of Jeremy's family reunion. We did projects at his grandparents houses. Jeremy and the gang did a sprinkler system at their rental property. They put up a new fence, and fixed the back porch there too. At grandma and grandpa's house they did some cleaning and cleaned up the flower beds. Melissa stared to paint the garage, I tried to help, but she will probably have to fix my mess-ups later. Sunday we went up to Downata Hot Springs for the rest of the vacation. Grandpa K has rented us cabins there for the last three years. It was fun a lot of fun and Margene and Lynn gave us a bunch of tips on emergency preparedness. Every one of our meals had something made from a food storage item. I thought that it was a really great idea.
I will try to get pictures from other family members later.

Tuesday we went to see Grandpa and Grandma Lott. They seem to be doing good. They let us pick a ton of corn and grandpa taught me how to freeze it. I also got some gardening tips. It was great to see grandma acting more like herself.

We finally went to see Sarah's new apartment on Friday when she invited us to go swimming with her and the Peavler fam. So cute, I want your couches.

Now for the best news of all, KURT IS HOME!! He surprised the family on Thursday night. (Ok so we already knew that he was in the US at Fort Lewis, but he asked Jeremy to keep it a secret, but we weren't expecting him until Saturday) I got to see him for thew first time last night at Geno's birthday party. I guess that he is officially out of the reserves now so he will not have to go back to the middle east again. It is such a relief and we are so glad to have him back.

I am so ready for fall.

Bee's game

Last Thursday Jason and Melissa invited us to go to the Salt Lake Bee's game with them. I would like to say that it was all a lot of fun but we took all of the kids with us. We did get to enjoy most of the game and I was excited to go because it was my first time going to a baseball game. We had to leave during the 6th inning because the kids had seen as much baseball as they could stand. Jeremy got online later that night to see if the Bee's had won. They had and game only went to 7 innings anyway(they were having problems with the lights and there was a lot of smoke in the air from fires) It was fun and I would like to try going again when Austin is about 12. Thanks for inviting us Melissa and Jason. Thanks for feeding us Big-O. Here are some picks that Jeremy took with his phone. I hate that my camera is broken.

Sorry the pictures are so small. I didn't want to mess with them to make them bigger.

That's how you do.

Just a little update on the real "boss" at our house. No new pictures because my camera is broken. Our little guy is driving us crazy one minute and then has us laughing hysterically the next. He has started to "teach" me how to do things around the house. This usually involves stuff I already know how to do and I was the one to teach him how to do it. (Like shutting down my laptop) It cracks me up, and he always says "that's how you do" after he is done. We took him to see his first movie in a theater today. He has wanted to see "Monsters vs. Aliens" forever, but haven't dared to take him because we didn't know how he would behave. He was great, and probably laughed louder than everyone else in the entire theater. He has also started to quote lines in movies while he is watching them. It's tons of fun. He is still just as impatient as ever, but we love him.

Oh, the memories!

So, since my life is very boring for others to read about, and Sarah complains when I write about being stressed out, I decided to update my play list. Here are a bunch of songs that bring back the memories. In other words I have a funny story that I remember every time I hear them. I thought about putting "Coming to America" on there, but I would probably have to shoot myself if Neil Diamond ever made it onto any of my play lists.

HaPpY 4tH oF JuLy!

Happy 4th of July. We stayed home last night, and had a BBQ with friends and family. We were hoping that we would be able to Logan's fire works from our house, instead of dealing with the crowds. The view was not the best because of the neighbors trees, but we were able to see the ones the were high enough. It was still a lot of fun. We did some of our own fireworks (provided by the Henson family, thanks), the kids really enjoyed them. I think the poppers and sparklers the biggest hits with the kids. I know they are my favorites still. Here are some pictures of Austin and his sparklers last night.

We went to the parade in Lewiston this morning. My niece Hailey was in it for her dancing group. I can not believe how many people came, it was crazy. There was probably more people there this morning than there is at the Tremonton parade, and Lewiston is a hole lot smaller. We decided not to brave the fireworks to night. I was not able get any pictures of Austin during the parade because there were too many people, and we ended up being on the wrong side to even see Hailey on her float.

Here is one of Austin being uncooperative after the parade

Uncle James bought us Fat Boys after the parade

But I think Tyler enjoyed them the most

Austin wants to type again. Every time he changed colors I guess he was changing words.
So here is Chevy, Carter, Aubrey, Austin, Melissa (he calls you Carter's Mommy), Daddy, Bryce (his Buddy), and Weyland (Bryce's brother)
