That's how you do.

Just a little update on the real "boss" at our house. No new pictures because my camera is broken. Our little guy is driving us crazy one minute and then has us laughing hysterically the next. He has started to "teach" me how to do things around the house. This usually involves stuff I already know how to do and I was the one to teach him how to do it. (Like shutting down my laptop) It cracks me up, and he always says "that's how you do" after he is done. We took him to see his first movie in a theater today. He has wanted to see "Monsters vs. Aliens" forever, but haven't dared to take him because we didn't know how he would behave. He was great, and probably laughed louder than everyone else in the entire theater. He has also started to quote lines in movies while he is watching them. It's tons of fun. He is still just as impatient as ever, but we love him.

Oh, the memories!

So, since my life is very boring for others to read about, and Sarah complains when I write about being stressed out, I decided to update my play list. Here are a bunch of songs that bring back the memories. In other words I have a funny story that I remember every time I hear them. I thought about putting "Coming to America" on there, but I would probably have to shoot myself if Neil Diamond ever made it onto any of my play lists.

HaPpY 4tH oF JuLy!

Happy 4th of July. We stayed home last night, and had a BBQ with friends and family. We were hoping that we would be able to Logan's fire works from our house, instead of dealing with the crowds. The view was not the best because of the neighbors trees, but we were able to see the ones the were high enough. It was still a lot of fun. We did some of our own fireworks (provided by the Henson family, thanks), the kids really enjoyed them. I think the poppers and sparklers the biggest hits with the kids. I know they are my favorites still. Here are some pictures of Austin and his sparklers last night.

We went to the parade in Lewiston this morning. My niece Hailey was in it for her dancing group. I can not believe how many people came, it was crazy. There was probably more people there this morning than there is at the Tremonton parade, and Lewiston is a hole lot smaller. We decided not to brave the fireworks to night. I was not able get any pictures of Austin during the parade because there were too many people, and we ended up being on the wrong side to even see Hailey on her float.

Here is one of Austin being uncooperative after the parade

Uncle James bought us Fat Boys after the parade

But I think Tyler enjoyed them the most

Austin wants to type again. Every time he changed colors I guess he was changing words.
So here is Chevy, Carter, Aubrey, Austin, Melissa (he calls you Carter's Mommy), Daddy, Bryce (his Buddy), and Weyland (Bryce's brother)

Well I think that we are going to head over to the Cruise-in parade. Happy 4th!!

Happy FAther's Day

I almost forgot. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the dads out there!

Origins

Jeremy is the one that originally set up our blog. He chose "Wyatt's Nest" as our blog title. I had no idea that there was a reason for it until about a month later. Grandma Wyatt made a spare tire cover for their trailer with these words on them. I guess he remembered this when he was setting up our blog and thought it would be a good name for our blog. He took pictures of it last time he was over there so that I could see it.

Busy June

Happy Birthday Mom!! I know that you are not thinking that it is too great. I usually have to work on my birthday too, it sucks. Happy birthday to Sarah on Saturday. You are getting to be so old. It is 23 this year right. June has just crazy busy and it is just getting started. Father's Day is coming up and then Melissa's birthday is on the 30th. Maybe I will remember my camera at our next party so that I can actually have something to post. I haven't done a post in a while, because we really have not had too many happy things going on in our lives lately. Between Jeremy's brother's funeral and all of the bad things at work, we have not been smiling too much a our house. On a lighter note, Austin has finally started using the big boy potty. He is doing so good. We still have our accidents, but he is trying so hard. As promised, Grandma Lisa bought him his Transformer underwear. I can't wait to see his face when she give them to him on Saturday. He will be so excited. I was enjoying all of this rain when it first started, but it is getting a little tiresome. I think it was when I got caught in the downpour for about 45 minutes, while I was trying to get supplies, that killed it for me. My garden really needs to be weeded and the farmers need to cut their hay. It can stop already!!! Here's hoping for sunshine on Saturday, but I am not holding my breath.

So there you go that is Austin's name according to him. He was so cute, he was taking it very seriously, typing very carefully. He even changed the colors himself. I will have to let him do some more posts in the future.

Yesterday we took a trip out to Richmond. It was Dallan's 18th birthday and Richmond was having Black and White Days. We went to the parade they had and then had a BBQ at Heather's. It was a lot of fun and not as hot as it was last year. I know Sarah wants to hear all about the little things we are doing so I am trying to post as often as I can. Hear are some pictures of the festivities. Pictures of parades are hard to take. Too many of my pictures turned out to be pictures of the back of Austin's head.

I just thought that these were
some cute pictures of Austin

Austin picking up candy.

Just couldn't wait to get started on the candy

Finally what we have been waiting for the entire parade.
THE FIRE TRUCKS!!
Austin's favorite, the was a long line of fire trucks. Austin
was so excited that he didn't even notice the candy that
they we throwing at him. H
e was in Heaven.

I didn't take any pictures of the BBQ (too busy eating),
but I took these pictures of by
niece Brooklyn playing in
Jeremy's truck that I thought were too cute!

PoTtY TrAinInG

So we decided to put a strong effort into POTTY TRAINING Austin. At first he was so excited to wear his big boy underwear. I thought that maybe he was finally ready and that we just needed to start working with him more. Then he started getting mad at us if we asked him if he needed to go to the bathroom. Now he says that there are MONSTERS IN THE TOILET and refuses to put on his new underwear. We are moving in the wrong direction. We made a chart last night. I have heard that that works. Right now I am just going to slow down and hope that taking some of the pressure off of him helps. Jeremy and I were both the hardest for our parents to potty train. Now I am starting to wonder if they have cursed us with a PROBLEM CHILD of our own or if Austin has inherited or stubborness. Anyway, I am not going to give up. Just WISH US LUCK, we are going to need it.

HaPpY MoThEr'S DaY

Happy late Mother's Day to all of the mothers out there. It has been a crazy couple of weeks for me so I have not been able to update my blog until now. I worked almost 66 hours last week, and me and my boys are sick (yes I consider Jeremy one of my boys because he acts like a baby when he is sick). He knows that I still love him and that is why I can write things like that. Not very many exciting things have happened to us lately anyway. I had a good Mother's Day (even if I had to teach the primary class by myself) When life gets a little less crazy, or I actually have something worth writing about I will try to write more.
